Once Upon a Time…

Before written history, there was the oral traditions. They contained our history and our heritage. They were stories of our ancestors, our traditions, and our culture, told to us by our village elders. Since then, people have continued to tell stories to each other. Stories and books are a means of education, entertainment, and cautionary tales.

Why do we love stories?

We love stories because stories are powerful. We remember them all our lives. We remember stories that entertained us and made us laugh. We remember stories that scared us or made us cry. Most importantly, we remember the stories that changed our lives or helped us choose our careers.
